So I went to film school, and in my life have seen some pretty high brow films. Some of them I liked. Some I thought were trash…. either way I have no idea what it had to do with my love for terrible reality TV. I do enjoy most things entertainment, but I really love reality dating shows. Call it a weakness, a strength…. whatever.
I have been into this show for a long time – all five seasons in fact, and each one gets better and better. Since all five seasons are out, you could go straight to Netflix today and have hours binging pleasure. The show? Love Is Blind.
Love is blind puts its cast members in pods, where they are left to have deep conversation for hours (with alcohol.) Through getting to know each other on this deeper level, they then have to decide if they can see themselves with each other in the future. Mind you, they still haven’t seen one another at this point. Once the proposal goes down, then they get to see each other, and let me tell you guys…. it can get AWKWARD.
They have a couple of weeks to live together, meet family and friends and see if their relationship could make it in the real world. This is my favorite point of the show. For the most part, people in their lives tell them not to get married because it’s OBVIOUSLY TOO FAST. The show culminates at the alter. Will they both say yes to marriage? We don’t find out until the officiator asks, “Do you take this person…?”
