ROCKFORD — The Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts announced 16 certified candidates who are seeking to fill two associate judge vacancies in the 17th Judicial Circuit, which covers Boone and Winnebago counties.
The candidates are: Andrew J. Fisk, Alesandra R. Friend Laird, David M. Gill, Roger Gustafson, Erin C. Hannigan, Erik K. Jacobs, Steven J. Kodie, Joseph B. Kosek, Scott R. Paccagnini, Amy K. Peterman, Derrick J. Schmidt, Andrew T. Smith, Paul R. Vella, Glen R. Weber, Daniel T. Wilkins and Jeffrey J. Zucchi.

Associate judges are appointed by the judges of the circuit.
The 17th Circuit judges are now inviting written comments about the candidates from all individuals and organizations. Those comments must be submitted in writing by 5 p.m. Jan. 20. Anonymous letters will not be accepted.
