ROCKFORD — Carlyle Brewing Co. plans to reopen for business Wednesday about eight months after closing its doors.
The downtown brewery announced its plans in a brief message Tuesday on its Facebook page saying it would reopen at 4 p.m. Wednesday.
“Back in the saddle,” the post reads. “Just like the good ole’ days!”

Carlyle, 215 E. State St., was one of several businesses that led a resurgence of activity for the city’s downtown. It closed last year on May 29 after 18 years in business.
A phone and Facebook message left for the owners has not yet been returned. We’ll update this story if we hear back from them.
