Lineup for the Night:

Host Matt Hall and Rockford funnyman has been performing stand-up comedy for the better part of two decades. He’s played many clubs across the Midwest and currently resides in Rockford where he hosts a morning radio show.

Showcase Feature Alex Savant is an award-winning comedian from Rockford and co-producer of the renowned collective Chill Pill Comedy. Quickly rising through the ranks of comics in the Stateline area, Alex has developed a voice that feels just as at home shouting over a pool hall jukebox as it does delivering biting satire in the region’s most historic theaters. His stiff-upper-lip style follows in the working-class traditions of Pryor and Carlin—critical but not thoughtless, unabashed but not crass. Unafraid to punch above his weight class, Alex performs regularly across the Midwest.

Showcase Feature Joseph Christopher performs comedy all over the IL/WI brat belt; he takes mustard and sauerkraut. He delights crowds with sharp, concise jokes and a lovable grin. He recently cried during an episode of Bar Rescue.

Showcase Feature and Local Golden Boy Kevin Haas, a local golden boy, is a full-time journalist who hails from the great city of Rockford, Illinois. When he’s not tirelessly covering the news, he’s at home thinking of weird things to say to strangers. Kevin can be seen hitting the stage all over the Midwest.

Showcase Feature Kevin Wood is a comic, writer, musician, and former radio personality of Rockford’s own 104.9 the X. He’s worked at the Chicago Improv, the Comedy Shrine, CG”s Comedy Club and more.

Showcase Headliner Jose Montero is a Latin American based out of Wisconsin, is renowned for his fast-paced and engaging performances. Jose has graced Theaters and Clubs across the US, including Zanies and Laugh Factory, and is ready to bring his unique brand of humor to The Hope & Anchor.
