Enjoy tasty eats from Rockford area food trucks! New changes this year include:
They added trucks and truck locations so they can accommodate up to 14 trucks each week and keep lines shorter.
They stretched the food trucks across 4 parking areas from Symbol parking lot to the Swan Anderson parking lot to allow for better line spacing
Stretching out truck locations has also made it so wherever you park on our riverfront, you are just a short walk to a food truck
They’ve eliminated alcohol from the event for the start of the season
They created a layout that reduced the opportunity for lines to cross or overlap
Every truck is providing their own cones and/ or painters tape lines to indicate 6 foot line spacings
Hand sanitizer is required at every truck’s cashier station
Their public restrooms are inspected and cleaned hourly during the event
They encourage cashless transactions to minimize cash handling
They setup Square invoicing and online payments for the food trucks to reduce cash handling and provide receipts
Masks are required for their food truck staff preparing and serving food
Masks are required for guests while in line, ordering, and picking up food from the food trucks. Masks are encouraged, but not required for guests outside as long as they can maintain 6-foot distancing.
Food Truck Tuesday schedules, capacities, and plans are subject to change with changing guidance from the Centers for Disease Control, State of Illinois, and Winnebago County Health Department.
