ROCKFORD — A new indoor adventure park with trampolines, obstacle courses and other amenities is coming to the former Burlington space on East State Street.

Takeoff Adventure Park is under construction at 6260 E. State St., behind Old Chicago and Boot Barn. Burlington had moved a few doors down from that space in 2023.

There’s no set timeline for when the adventure park will open, contractor Gao Bin said when reached by phone this week. Calls to Rhino Investments Group, the real estate firm that owns the property, were not returned Wednesday.

Work on the nearly 50,000-square-foot property began last May, with construction valued at approximately $1.4 million, according to a city of Rockford building permit.

Takeoff Adventure Park has other locations in Plano, Texas, and Pleasantville, New Jersey. Those locations feature trampoline courts, ropes courses, dodge ball, bumper ball, trampoline basketball, ninja courses, foam pits and rock climbing. It’s not yet clear what amenities will be featured in the Rockford location.

The city is home to two other similar attractions. Urban Air Adventure Park opened in June 2023 at 7137 E. State St., and Flow Supreme Air Sports opened in early 2020 at 5505 E. State St.
