ROSCOE — A Roscoe native who’s been dancing since age 3 will bring her talents to the United Center this season as part of the Chicago Bulls professional dance team.

Morgan Seymour is a member of the Luvabulls, which have been a staple of in-game entertainment for the team for more than four decades. After dancing during the Bulls Fest in late August, Seymour and the team will take the court for their preseason home debut tonight when the Bulls take on the Cleveland Cavaliers.

“I know that Bulls fans bring the most incredible energy to the United Center. I’m so excited to get to perform for them and also perform with my teammates,” Seymour told the Rock River Current. “I absolutely love being a part of the team. Everyone is so kind and the team is so supportive. The combination of getting to be around the energy of Bulls fans and the positivity of my teammates just makes me really excited to be able to dance on the court.”

Seymour, a 2020 graduate of Hononegah High School, landed a spot on the 17-member team through an open audition this summer. Each dancer re-auditions for each season.

“Everyone knows how iconic the Bulls have been throughout history, as well as the Luvabulls right with them,” said Seymour, 23, who learned her history on the Bulls glory days from watching “The Last Dance” documentary series. “There’s a sense of pride that you’re a part of an incredible organization and team that a lot of people know and love.”

Seymour graduated from Loyola University in Chicago with a major in marketing. She is living and working in Roscoe now and commuting to her Luvabulls duties. That includes 41 home games, not counting the preseason or the potential for playoff games. She said she looks forward to continuing to improve herself as a dancer through the course of the season.

“All of our dances and our dancers are very versatile. Our coach really challenges us with different styles,” she said. “We’re never doing the exact same dance, the exact same style, over and over again. So it is a challenge as a dancer to try something new, and it’s exciting to be able to try all these different styles to constantly improve on your craft.”

Seymour started dancing as a toddler with Turning Pointe Dance Co. in Roscoe, and then Prestige Dance Co. in Beloit, Wisconsin, when it opened in September 2021.

“I never feel drained when I’m dancing,” Seymour said. “You can get tired physically, but it always fills my cup and fuels my passion even more for it.”

The Bulls next preseason home game after tonight is Sunday against the Milwaukee Bucks. The six-month regular season kicks off Oct. 22 as the Bulls take on the Detroit Pistons at the United Center.

“My coach says you’ll blink and the season will be over,” Seymour said. “So I’m really trying to just everyday stay present in the moment and be so grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the organization and the team.”
