Darrian Knotts cuts ribbon on new hypnotherapy practice in Loves Park

LOVES PARK — A certified hypnotherapist and life development coach celebrated the opening of her new practice on Tuesday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony with The Parks Chamber of Commerce.
Darrian Knotts moved her business from Kane County, where she was recognized as the top hypnotherapist through Quality Business Awards, to 7124 Windsor Lake Parkway, suite 23, in Loves Park. The Stillman Valley resident said she wanted to move her practice closer to home.
“I have a lot to offer the community, I know that. So why not offer it where you live,” Knotts said.
Knotts described hypnotherapy as a type of subconscious reprogramming, where any negative beliefs that you’ve picked up through life can be replaced with new truths. She said anyone can benefit from hypnotherapy.
“A lot of people come to me as their last option, and then they have success,” she said. “They’re like, I wish I would’ve found this sooner. I wish I would’ve done it sooner.”
She says hypnotherapy can help with a multitude of issues such as eating disorders, addiction, insomnia, stress management, habit-breaking and burnout.
“There’s almost nothing that we can’t fix with it,” she said.
She also hopes to connect with local educators, among others, to help them with personal development coaching. In those one-on-one sessions, she helps people set their goals and keep them accountable for their progress.
“We’re so happy to have her in the parks,” Julie Altenbernd, chairwoman of the Parks Chamber board, said during the ribbon-cutting ceremony. “I love when a business comes and focuses on health, mindset and overcoming challenges.”
