Anderson Automotive Group opens new Anderson Kia on Perryville Road in Loves Park

LOVES PARK — Anderson Automotive Group has opened its new Anderson Kia dealership and service center at Perryville and Nimtz roads, just north of Peak Sports Club.
The newly constructed dealership, 4899 N. Perryville Road, significantly expands on the previous home for Kia at 226 N. Alpine Road in Rockford. That former site, in the Rock River Block, remains the home for Anderson’s Rock River Ford, Anderson Mitsubishi and Anderson Collision Center.
The company said the new facility has been designed to accommodate growing demand in both sales and service while integrating new automotive technologies and a wide range of customer-centric amenities such as its premium lounge with a 100-inch flat screen TV, dedicated workstations and complimentary refreshments.
“We are proud to unveil this new facility as part of our ongoing investment in both our customers and the Kia brand,” Chad Anderson, president of Anderson Automotive Group, said in a news release. “This new location reflects our commitment to delivering not only exceptional vehicles, but also an elevated, customer-first experience at every touchpoint.”
Other features include 14 service bays, dual indoor drive-in service lanes for faster vehicle intake, an on-site car wash and a contemporary showroom.
The new Anderson Kia on Perryville is now fully operational for both sales and service.

The family-owned automotive group, which was founded in 1970, acquired Kia as part of the Rock River Block in 2003. It relocated with the help of the city of Loves Park, which is providing a rebate on a portion of the city’s 1% sales tax generated from sales at the property.
The city agreed in 2023 to refund 75% of the new sales taxes for the first five years of operation of the dealership and 50% of sales taxes after that for a maximum of 12 years or $2 million, whichever happens first.
City officials previously said the rebate was designed to help offset higher construction costs due to soil and stormwater detention requirements that come with developing the land. They also said the deal benefits Loves Park long term because it brings in new sales tax dollars, which the city relies on to provide services without levying a municipal property tax.
The city provided similar incentives for Anderson Toyota and Lexus, 4100 N. Perryville Road, when it opened in May 2012.
