ROCKFORD — Three incumbent mayors won contested reelection bids on Tuesday in some of the key matchups around the Rockford region.
Here’s a look at results from 10 consequential contested races in the region:
Rockford mayor

Mayor Tom McNamara won a third term with a decisive victory, earning more than 78% of the vote.

Harlem School Board
Incumbent Evelyn Meeks and three newcomers — Diane McKinney, Kurt William Thompson and Katie Littlefield — held the lead in an 11-way race for four seats on the Harlem School Board. With 21 votes separating the the final two spots, mail-in ballots could still swing the race when results are official in two weeks.
