ROCKFORD — Early stages of construction work are underway for a new Starbucks cafe on Mulford Road just north of Casey’s General Store.
The national coffee chain is coming to the corner of South Mulford Road and Columbia Parkway, which is north of Harrison Avenue.
No timeline for the opening has been released. The city has issued building permits for the foundation work and is awaiting the final drawings before permits for the rest of construction are issued, said Nelson Sjostrom, construction and development services manager for the city of Rockford.
