ROCKFORD — Hard Rock Casino Rockford will host two open-call hiring events next week as it tries to fill roughly 100 open positions in its culinary department.
The company is hiring cooks, servers, chefs and other food and beverage workers for the six restaurants inside its future casino at 7801 E. State St. before it opens on Aug. 29.
The hiring events are slated for 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday at Embassy Suites by Hilton Rockford Riverfront, 416 S. Main St. No registration is required.

Hard Rock is also offering a $1,000 sign-on bonus for cooks, chefs and kitchen workers with $500 paid upon hire and $500 after 90 days on the job.
The jobs are among 400 positions Hard Rock is hiring in time for opening weekend. It ramped up hiring efforts earlier this month to recruit workers to the new facility in time for training before opening weekend.
The open call hiring is for cooks, chefs, bakers, butchers, kitchen workers, servers, baristas, bar porters, hosts and banquet staff.
The jobs are full-time and come with benefits that include paid time off.
Wages for cooks range from $18 an hour to $20 an hour for those with little experience. That goes from $20 to $23 an hour for moderate experience and $22 to $26 per hour for high experience or formal culinary training, Hard Rock said. It’s also working to hire a sous chef at $60,000 per year.
Applicants must be 18 or older.
