Anderson Japanese Gardens to open for the 2024 season on Friday

ROCKFORD — Anderson Japanese Gardens, a renowned attraction that draws roughly 100,000 visitors each year, is slated to open for the season on Friday.
The 12-acre landscape tucked away at 318 Spring Creek Road has been recognized among the highest quality Japanese gardens in North America by Sukiya Living Magazine.
This year includes new programs, including participating in Spring ArtScene this weekend, and the return of popular events such as the Tuesday Evenings in the Gardens music series.

The ArtScene exhibit is called “Positive Distractions” and features 3D sculptural art by local artists throughout the garden.
Anderson Japanese Gardens is a nonprofit destination founded in 1978.
Its mission is to delivers its mission to “open minds to a different culture while offering guests a place of peace and tranquility where they will find healing, renewal, inspiration, and a reenergized soul.”
