ROCKFORD — Mid-West Family, a locally-owned broadcast and marketing company that serves northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin, has been named the 2023 winner of the GiGi’s Playhouse Community Partner Award.
The award was presented Saturday during GiGi’s annual gala at Tebala Event Center. The award recognizes an organization that has demonstrated true partnership with GiGi’s Playhouse Rockford by positively promoting the cause and awareness of Down syndrome while supporting the nonprofit organization’s efforts.
“An aspect of our mission statement at Mid-West Family is to serve the community, and this recognition shows that we’re making our mission statement more than glossy corporate-speak,” said Mike Paterson, president and general manager for Mid-West Family. “GiGi’s Playhouse and their leadership team provide a local community influence and incredibly valuable service for those in the greater Rockford area so to be recognized by them means the world to our team.”

GiGi’s Playhouse is a Down syndrome achievement center that offers free educational, therapeutic-based and career development programs for individuals with Down syndrome.
