ROCKFORD — A new fashion event debuting this weekend puts a new twist on old clothing.

Womanspace and Tad More Tailoring will host Restyle the Runway —  a fashion show featuring restyled and upcycled clothing —  on Saturday at Regents Hall at Rockford University, 5050 E. State St. The fundraiser for Womanspace also allows you to shop for hand-picked secondhand garments and sustainable art from local artists.

The event runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and tickets can be purchased HERE for $75 or $550 for a table of eight.

Tad More Tailoring and Alterations, 6116 Mulford Village Drive, suite No. 16, is focused on turning old garments into new fashion and preventing old clothing from being wasted.

Womanspace offers programs for women, men and children that focus on creative arts, holistic health, interfaith exploration and environmental stewardship.
