PBR 500 at Olympic Tavern in Rockford to raise money for United Way

ROCKFORD — The Olympic Tavern will set out to sell 500 Pabst Blue Ribbons on Saturday in an effort to raise money for the United Way of Rock River Valley.

The North End restaurant’s second ever PBR 500 includes prize giveaways and contests throughout the day and a .1K run around the block at 1 p.m.

The event goes from 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. at the tavern, 2327 N. Main St. PBR reps are on hand from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

For every 12-ounce can of PBR sold on Saturday, The Olympic Tavern will donate 50 cents to the United Way, and PBR is matching the donation for a total of $500.

At every 50 PBRs sold, a mini prize will be given away to a customer. The customer who buys the 500th PRB will take home a new Grizzly braad PBR cooler.
