ROCKFORD — Judge Jennifer Clifford has been named as the chairperson of the newly formed Illinois Supreme Court Committee on Domestic Violence.

The committee is tasked with reviewing and making recommendations on matters that affect domestic violence, human trafficking and the court system.

“Through neutral and informed approaches, the courts can better serve the needs of survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking,” Clifford said in a news release. “I am humbled by the court’s decision for me to guide this new statewide committee.”
