EL Barrio Community Center’s mission is to provide the community with nonprofit services and information, including CPR classes, health seminars, job training, basic computer skills, immigration seminars and gang prevention and intervention.
Forward for Fun is a city program that allocated $10,500 to each of the city’s 14 wards to host celebrations designed to support local business and bring people together after the isolation of the coronavirus pandemic.
The city’s $75,000 contribution is matched by $75,000 in private fundraising.
