ROCKFORD — A nonprofit that provides a safe space for supervised visitations and for parents to exchange children has named a new executive director.
Jillisa Bondurant will lead Children’s Safe Harbor after spending the last eight years at Winnebago County CASA, where she was the advocate supervisor and facilitator, then program director and interim executive director.

Bondurant was integral in developing policies and procedures, securing grants, and successfully navigating the agency through the COVID-19 pandemic, Children’s Safe Harbor said in a news release. She has significant knowledge of juvenile court practices and the child welfare system and has spent the last eight years building connections with the county and courts.
“We are thrilled to welcome Jillisa’s experience and passion for working with children and families, as well as her energy and excitement around the work of Children’s Safe Harbor,” the organization said in a news release.
