Want to start a food truck in Rockford? Here’s your chance to learn the ropes

ROCKFORD — The city has a multitude of different food truck options. Have you ever thought about starting your own?
The Illinois Small Business Development Centers at Rockford Chamber, also known as the Rockford SBDC, will host a virtual training session called “How to Start a Food Truck Business” from 11 a.m. to noon on Thursday, Jan. 13.
The class will be hosted via Zoom.

You’ll hear from guest speaker Karen Hobbs of KH Food Safety Consulting and Services about the history of food trucks, common mistakes in starting this business and the hidden requirements, licenses and compliance that go along with it.
