Ingersoll Machine Tool Expands For Magellan Telescope Project
Officials last week broke ground on a 40,000 square foot expansion at Ingersoll Machine Tool on Fulton Avenue in Rockford. This new facility will help the company build the key components of the $135 million+ Giant Magellan Telescope, which is predicted to alter space exploration when it comes online in 2025 in Chile. This expansion at Ingersoll continues Rockford’s long history of world-class manufacturing and engineering expertise.
