A group of kids in Roscoe, Illinois, held a fundraiser to raise money for Nik’s Wish.
Nik’s Wish, or also known as The Nikolas Ritschel Foundation, helps in providing memorable experiences for young adults who are battling cancer.
The kids ran 10 laps around their neighborhood and raised more than $500 online. Parents would continue to donate $1 for every lap they ran after that so the kids continued to run more laps for 30 minutes.
The money that was raised came to a total of $1,034.05, according to Nik’s Wish.
“Just seeing them do this, being happy and being able to have big hearts like this to give to a charity when you’re so little, it just brings joy to my heart,” said Nik’s Wish Founder Kelli Ritschel Bohele.
According to Nik’s Wish Founder, a wish costs about $6,000, and they plan to grant a wish in early June. Read the full story below.
