Illinois Takes Top Seed in Midwest

Not only did Illinois win the Big Ten Tournament on Sunday, they also landed the top seed in the Midwest Region for the NCAA tournament. They topped Ohio State 91-88 to secure the Big Ten Tournament yesterday and the news that they would have the 1 seed followed quickly.

They’ll open up the NCAA tournament with 16 seed Drexel. They’ll have a potential second round match-up with Loyola-Chicago. If Loyola makes it past their first round match with Georgia Tech.
